Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in medical lab tech, information systems, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare IT environment.
• Exposure to LIS or IT systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and troubleshoots the LIS to ensure accurate, efficient functionality.
• Configures LIS settings under supervision, including test codes and reference ranges.
• Provides LIS-related technical support to laboratory staff and end users.
• Validates interfaces between LIS and laboratory instruments for proper data transfer.
• Assists with system upgrades, patches, and installations to maintain compliance.
• Performs data entry and updates to LIS to align with regulatory standards.
• Prepares and maintains LIS documentation and training materials.
• Collaborates with IT and lab teams to address workflow issues and improvements.
• Ensures LIS operations comply with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA.
