Position Overview

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) seeks an experienced, results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 2A to oversee operations at our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all store operations, ensuring excellent customer service and achievement of business goals.
  • Motivate and manage staff, delegate tasks, monitor work quality, and provide training.
  • Drive sales initiatives, manage inventory, and assist customers with product recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Manage inventory levels, product placement, and display for optimal customer experience.
  • Handle cash management, sales reporting, and record keeping per policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding alcohol sales.
  • Collaborate on sales and operational strategies with management.
  • Participate in staff training and performance management.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting products weighing 30-60 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Manage staffing schedules to meet operational needs.
Work Schedule & Additional Info
  • Full-time, 75 hours biweekly, onsite parking provided.
  • Work hours vary; telework is not available.
  • Salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or Liquor Store General Manager 1B, or two years as an Assistant Manager 1 or General Manager 1A, or three years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 or in lead retail sales.
  • Must meet PA residency requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including physical tasks and standing for long periods.
