Job summary

Idaho State Liquor Division seeks motivated individuals to join our state-operated retail network. Full-time, benefit-eligible positions require working Sundays through Saturdays, 40 hours per week, with a six month entrance probation.

You will greet customers, answer questions about products, process sales, verify ages, and help maintain store operations. As part of ISLD, you’ll manage stocking, merchandising, cash handling, and daily reporting while contributing to responsible beverage

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age to sell liquor per Idaho Code;
• Experience adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and decimals;
• Reading instructions written in English.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and answers questions regarding product content, use and price
• Observes customers, checks identification for proof-of-age and denies service to underage or intoxicated customers
• Receives payments by cash, check or credit card and makes change
• Receives and verifies licensed-bar orders
• Operates computerized cash register system to process sales data
• Closes out cash register and balances receipts to sales journal
