Job Summary

This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and creating a friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Compliance 50%

  • Observe customers and check identification for age verification.
  • Identify customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitor them to prevent open containers from leaving the store.
  • Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.

Customer Excellence 25%

  • Provide continuous attention to customers' needs.
  • Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Offer product suggestions to customers when appropriate.

Operational Excellence 25%

  • Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
  • Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Operate department equipment and tools; operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change when appropriate.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; proficiency in following instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • High standard of integrity and reliability.
  • Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
Education
