Job summary

GoPuff is seeking a retail associate for its Kentucky Liquor Barn and related stores. You will deliver excellent customer service, process transactions, verify ages, and help maintain inventory and store cleanliness.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliable teamwork, and flexibility to work nights and weekends. Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k), and other benefits are included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be 21+ and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum 1 year as a store associate or in customer service.
• Experience in a team setting and strong communication skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build rapport while informing them of products and services.
• Drive sales by knowledge of products across departments and promotions.
• Replenish inventory and maintain store appearance.
• Handle cashier duties, process transactions, and verify ages.
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and related equipment.
• Balance drawer and provide receipts for customers.
• Ensure price accuracy and handle refunds or exchanges.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness across floors and stock rooms.
• Support promotions and events setup as needed.
• Deliver a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job description

Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GoPuff. An operated retail chain of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We offer 23 retail locations across the state, including Louisville, Lexington, Danville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky, with a delivery radius reaching 80% of Kentucky residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of BRS products and services
• Knowledge of BRS products to provide customers with recommendationsDrive sales in all departments
• Replenish and maintain inventory
• Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy while completing customer transactions
• Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policiesAccepting payments, such as cash, checks, and credit cards
• Ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a customer receiptProcessing refunds and exchanges
• Balance register drawer
• Bagging or boxing purchases to ensure safe transport
• Following all BRS procedures regarding coupons and gift cards
• Maintain store safety standards
• Store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Assist in promotions and setup of BRS events
• Observe BRS vehicle policies and procedure guidelines
• Maintain all safety standards for BRS deliveries
• Delivery items to customersFollowing delivery driving routes and time schedules
• Inform manager of vehicle operating condition problems

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of product and services
• One year as a store associate or customer service representative
• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary for establishing customer and team relationships
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• This job requires the ability to perform the following:
• Frequently standing and moving in an assigned location safely and efficiently
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Handling objects, products, and equipment safely
