Job summary

Gopuff's Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) subsidiary in Kentucky is hiring a Key Holder in Louisville. You will open/close the store, assist during peak times, and support new employees while delivering excellent customer service and promoting BRS products.

The role includes stocking, cash handling, and adherence to safety and age-verification policies. A strong team player with retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age and older.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• One year as a store associate or customer service representative.

• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of BRS products and promotions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and informing them of BRS products.
• Open the store in the morning and close it at night.
• Operate the alarm system and security procedures.
• Identify problems and report to management.
• Act as manager in absence of General/Assistant Manager.
• Know BRS products to make recommendations.
• Drive sales across departments.
• Order, replenish and maintain inventory.
• Perform cashier functions and handle transactions.
• Operate scanners and cash registers.
• Verify customer ages where required.
• Accept payments (cash, checks, credit cards).
• Ensure accurate pricing and receipts.
• Process refunds and exchanges.
• Balance the register and bag items for safe transport.
• Follow coupons and gift card procedures.
• Maintain store safety standards.
• Keep store, stock room, and facilities clean.
• Assist promotions and event setup.
• Follow vehicle policies for deliveries.
• Maintain safety for BRS deliveries.
• Deliver items to customers and follow routes/times.

Job description

Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GoPuff. An operated retail chain of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We offer 23 retail locations across the state, including Louisville, Lexington, Danville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky, with a delivery radius reaching 80% of Kentucky residents.

As a Key Holder, you display an ability for managerial responsibilities. This position is responsible for opening and closing the store and performing other duties in the absence of management. A Key Holder will assist the store in periods of high volume and provide support for new employees, providing excellent customer service while driving sales through BRS products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of BRS products and services
• Arrive early to open the store and leave late to close the store
• Operate the alarm system, including setting and disarming
• Identify Problems with working conditions and share with management
• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager
• Knowledge of BRS products to provide customers with recommendations
• Drive sales in all departments
• Order, replenish and maintain inventory
• Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy while completing customer transactions
• Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Accepting payments, such as cash, checks, and credit cards
• Ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a customer receipt
• Processing refunds and exchanges
• Balance register drawerBagging or boxing purchases to ensure safe transport
• Following all BRS procedures regarding coupons and gift cards
• Maintain store safety standards
• Store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathroomsAssist in promotions and setup of events
• Observe BRS vehicle policies and procedure guidelines
• Maintain all safety standards for BRS deliveries

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of product and services
• One year as a store associate or customer service representative
• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary for establishing customer and team relationships
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor
• High School Diploma or equivalent
