Liquidless Machine Operator – 1st and 2nd shift available

Description

We have immediate openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts for a Liquidless Machine Operator. This role involves operating drum dryers, cutting tables, and packaging equipment to ensure efficient production of liquidless laundry sheets while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include:

Key Job Functions:
  1. Prepare the drum dryer daily, performing visual inspections for safe and efficient operation.
  2. Coordinate the transfer of batches from the mixer to the dryer for dehydration.
  3. Troubleshoot the mixing process to ensure successful transfer to drying.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot the dehydration process to ensure product quality.
  5. Adjust machine settings to achieve the correct sheet thickness and minimize spills.
  6. Complete verification sheets to record quality and throughput data.
  7. Transfer finished sheets to the cutting table and set correct length and speed.
  8. Cut sheets into desired sizes.
  9. Package sheets and palletize as instructed.
  10. Clean work area and equipment regularly.
  11. Operate scanners to input production data accurately.
  12. Handle special projects and requests as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a production environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate scanners and input production data.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially during dehydration monitoring.
  • Ability to lift materials, boxes, tools, and equipment safely.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Equipment maintenance experience and ability to use tools for adjustments.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, percentages, and averages.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
  • Participation in sustainability programs and initiatives.
