Responsibilities

  • Downsize and relocate clients; liquidate unneeded items.
  • Use devices to photograph and describe items.
  • Sort, organize, label, and research items for resale.
  • Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
  • Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.
  • Pack/unpack and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.

Caring Transitions of Lancaster, PA helps seniors and their families make smooth and stress-free transitions from one living situation to another. We specialize in relocation, downsizing and estate sales. Job Description:

You deliver excellent customer service, while safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, relocate and liquidate through online estate sales. Every day is different. You truly make a difference in the lives of our clients every single day.

We offer flexibility and part‑time work with no required or guaranteed hours. Perfect for parents with school‑aged kids, retirees, and for anyone with a busy schedule.

You adapt to new situations, effectively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and work productively in a team environment. We are fun to work with, and so are you.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
    • Use hand‑held devices to create, photograph, and describe items.
    • Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale.
    • Assist buyers during on‑site pickup and sales.
    • Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.
    • Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
  • Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 30 lbs, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding.
  • Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and heavy items.
  • Follow best practices, health and safety requirements, and company guidelines.

  • Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments. We wear gloves, dust masks, etc.

  • Age 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license
  • Must undergo a background check

Pay starts at $16/hr. After a 2-month probation and passing a background check, hourly wage increases to $17/hr.
