Job summary

Watco Transloading is hiring for an on-site hourly full-time role at Guntersville, AL. The position supports railcar, barge, and equipment inspections, ensuring safe transfer operations and compliance with EPA/OSHA requirements.

Shift is 6:30 am–3:00 pm with occasional weekends; pay is $20.00 per hour. The team performs inspections, equipment prep, and cross-training on heavy equipment to support terminal and transportation operations, with on‑the‑job training and career development at Watco

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside most of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance are required.
• Available for shift work when applicable and overtime as needed.
• Able to work with a team, follow directions, and handle additional responsibilities.
• Knowledge of safety programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist on barges to connect product and steam lines.

• Complete required documentation and recordkeeping.
• Comply with company standards, procedures, and regulations.

Job Summary

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00
Shift: 1st - 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (occasional weekend work)

Performs railcar, barge, and equipment inspections while supporting the safe transfer of products and operation of pipelines, pumps, compressors, and related equipment. Ensures all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with WTIS work instructions, company standards, and government regulations, including EPA and OSHA requirements. Completes required documentation, supports operational excellence, and cross-trains on the operation of heavy equipment and machinery to support terminal and transportation operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Climb onto top and underneath railcars in order to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist.
• Work on barges to assist in hooking up product and steam lines.
• Perform structural inspections as required.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer.
• Will be responsible for the operation as it relates to pipelines, compressors, auxiliary, equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves and other related equipment.
• Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
• Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping.
• Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
• Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required.
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
• Knowledge of company safety programs.
