Job summary

Coastal Flow is seeking a Liquid Measurement Technician in Midland, Texas. This is a full-time, field-based role focused on operation, proving, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of liquid measurement systems used across oil and gas sites.

You will document results and work directly with customers to ensure safe, accurate service. Experience with meter proving or Coriolis, turbine, or PD meters is a plus; strong mechanical aptitude and safety consciousness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with liquid measurement, meter proving, calibration, or measurement systems is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Coriolis, turbine, PD, and other liquid meters is a plus.
• Experience with portable provers, small volume provers, PROVEit, or other measurement equipment and applications is a plus.
• Oil & gas, pipeline, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, petrochemical, refinery, field service, or similar technical experience is highly valued.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify effective solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.
• Professional, dependable, and able to represent Coastal Flow well while working directly with customers.
• Clean driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles and field equipment.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Permian Basin and surrounding areas and work occasional nights, weekends, or extended hours as customer operations require.
• Relevant technical certifications or a degree in a related field are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, field-based role for a Liquid Measurement Technician in the Midland, Texas / Permian Basin area.

The technician will be responsible for the operation, proving, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of liquid measurement systems and equipment used throughout the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities include performing liquid meter proving and calibration, operating portable proving equipment, troubleshooting measurement systems, analyzing meter performance, and accurately documenting proving results and adjustments.

Technicians work directly with our customers in the field and collaborate with other Coastal Flow team members to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality service.

We are looking for both experienced Liquid Measurement Technicians and individuals with strong mechanical or technical backgrounds who are interested in learning the measurement industry. For the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic, we are willing to train.
