PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Markets and sells energy products and accounts receivable within the assigned territory, including securing new clients and increasing sales volume with existing clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Establishes a route system in delivery territory and calls on all clients or potential clients to obtain orders for energy products.
  • Acts as the sole sales contact between GROWMARK and clients in the delivery territory.
  • Responsible for meeting sales goals as established by the supervisor.
  • Adheres to GROWMARK’s sales and marketing strategies and attends sales training sessions.
  • Records sales or delivery information daily.
  • Maintains a prospect list and calls on prospective customers to solicit new business.
  • Prepares order forms and sales contracts.
  • Promotes FS credit / Agri-Finance as a sales tool.
  • Communicates marketing programs and distributes sales promotion materials.
  • Follows credit policies, checks credit history, and explains policies to new customers.
  • Collects accounts as needed according to credit policy.
  • Fulfills orders from stock, loads, drives, and delivers petroleum products as necessary.
  • Addresses customer complaints promptly and seeks solutions.
  • Submits reports and communicates activities regularly.
  • Maintains company vehicle and performs basic maintenance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Daily travel within the territory with occasional overnight stays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2+ years of sales experience.
  • Business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making skills.
  • Required licenses or ability to obtain: selling license, CDL with Hazmat endorsement, Energy Advisor or EMS certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal hours and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Participation in training on policies and safety procedures.

Employment contingent upon background check, drug test, and driving record review.
