AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to our services. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, seeking talented individuals to help us innovate and improve.
As part of a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, you'll collaborate across AWS to uphold safety, security, and capacity standards while maintaining cost efficiency. Our inclusive culture encourages bold ideas and ownership.
Within AIS and Data Center Engineering, the Mechanical Products and Services team drives rapid innovation in mechanical cooling and control systems, fundamentally transforming data center operations. This role offers the chance to lead a team developing next-generation liquid cooling infrastructure for AWS data centers.
Basic: Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience; 7+ years in data center design or related fields; 5+ years managing teams of 5-25 associates.
Preferred: Masters or PhD; experience managing undefined problems and influencing strategy; deep understanding of liquid cooling in data centers.
Intermittent travel (~30%) expected, including domestic and international trips.
