Lipscomb University is seeking a Lipscomb Academy School of Dance assistant. The role assists the teacher in dance class; no dance experience is required and current Lipscomb University students are eligible.

Duties include guiding young students, helping with dress changes, classroom management, and helping dancers transition to and from class. This is a great opportunity for students in education/child development to gain hours.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at lower school by 2:15 and help with student transitions to class.
• Gather students in the hallway near their classrooms.
• Assist with changing into dance attire and supervise during class as needed.
• Assist the dance teacher with class management and supervise bathroom breaks.
• Ensure dancers walk to their parents after class.

Seeking Lipscomb Academy School of Dance assistant. Assistant will assist the teacher in dance class, no dance experience necessary. Must be a current Lipscomb University Student. May be federal work study eligible.

Assistant will:

• Arrive at lower school by 2:15. The 5 year olds and kindergarteners get out of class at 2:30.
• Gather students in the hallway near their classrooms
• Help them change in the restroom and hang out with them in the lower school cafeteria lobby until the class begins. Help female 5 year old through 3rd grade students change out of school uniforms and into their dance attire for class at the lower school.
• Assist the dance teacher in any way she needs during class (mostly with class management and taking dancers to the bathroom if they need to go during class).
• Make sure dancers walk to their parents at the other end of the school building when class is over.
• this is a great job for university students in the education/childlife specialist department looking to gain hours working with children
