Job summary

The Stoneleigh is a landmark property in Uptown Dallas recently relaunched under the Marriott Autograph Collection, now part of HEI Hotels and Resorts. We seek a guest-focused hospitality professional to provide exceptional service at Lions Den and Bar Leonessa, ensuring guest satisfaction and accuracy in every order.

Qualifications

  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Willing to pitch in and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items.
  • Ability to transport large trays up to 30lbs through a crowded room.
  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, customers, and patrons.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn POS procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with adaptable style.
  • Adapt communication style for different audiences (supervisors, coworkers, public).

Responsibilities

  • Input the order into the POS to inform the kitchen.
  • Retrieve orders up to 30 lbs, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guest with condiments.
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
  • Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
  • Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
  • Operate POS procedures to pre-check order and close the check.
  • Present the check to guest promptly.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

About Us

Located in the middle of the most prestigious part of Uptown Dallas, The Stoneleigh is a storied landmark with a rich and alluring legacy. The Stoneleigh has recently completed a $20.0M renovation, and has relaunched as part of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection. All 176 rooms and public areas have been renovated, including our restaurant, Lions Den, and our bar, Bar Leonessa. Lions Den is the new home of the next restaurant from awarding-winning chef, Chef Michael White. Chef Michael White has many culinary accolades including the James Beard award; 5 simultaneous Michelin stars; and multiple New York Times 3-star and 4-star reviews. Chef Michael White's concepts at The Stoneleigh include, the Lions Den, where each dish is composed with care, weaving together seasonal ingredients, global inspiration, and a distinctly Dallas spirit. Lions Den will be opening on May 1st, 2026.

Overview

Provide guests exceptional service in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.


  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.


  • Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.


  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.


  • When complete, retrieve orders up to 30 lbs. from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments.


  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.


  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.


  • Market and serve upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees.


  • Operate the Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.


  • Present the check to guest promptly.


  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.


  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.




Qualifications and Skills


  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.


  • Must be willing to \"pitch-in\" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.


  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.


  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.


  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.


  • Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift with or without reasonable accommodation.


  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.


  • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.


  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
