Job summary

Computer World Services is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to join the infrastructure team. You will design, deploy, and operate a secure, highly available Linux fleet across AWS and VMware, and drive automation with Ansible while enforcing CIS baseline hardening.

Work with application owners and analytics engineers to support mission-critical workloads, manage Linux virtual desktops, monitor uptime, patching, and vulnerability remediation, and contribute to scalable infrastructure

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Linux systems in a production environment.
• 2+ years configuration management using Ansible, including playbooks and roles.
• 2+ years supporting Linux virtual desktops.
• Experience in large government, financial, regulatory, or corporate environments with change management and audit.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers in AWS and VMware environments.
• Develop CIS-based baselines and hardening configurations.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for system configurations.
• Collaborate with application teams to deploy and upgrade applications on Linux.
• Monitor uptime and support patching and vulnerability remediation.
