Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Linux-focused DevOps Engineer to administer and optimize large-scale Linux environments. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks with Ansible and Jenkins, and collaborate with security and development teams to ensure secure, reliable systems.

Applicants should have 3+ years in enterprise Linux, strong scripting, and experience with OCI or cloud-based infrastructures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux in an enterprise environment with patching (DNF/YUM).
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Ansible Core, GitLab CI/CD, FlexDeploy or similar.
• Strong experience with Ansible and Jenkins.
• DNS/Networking and debugging with packet capture.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, Zsh, Ksh, or Csh.
• Configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Secure environments experience.
• OCI environments on virtual images.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise Linux environments.
• Perform Linux logging, auditing, patching, and performance tuning across production/non-production systems.
• Develop automation solutions – including scripting – for Linux administration using Jenkins and Ansible Core.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux issues.
• Build development tools and infra using CI/CD, cloud, container orchestration, and security.
• Modify scripts to improve performance and adapt to new infrastructure.
• Analyze user needs and technical requirements within time/cost constraints.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, security teams, and stakeholders to define interfaces and performance requirements.
• Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for security.
• Provide accurate work-effort estimates and deliver results.
• Create and maintain technical docs and procedures.
