Job summary

Gosnaphop is seeking a hands-on Linux Systems Administrator to support a business-critical server environment in Houston on-site. You will manage Linux and Windows systems, VMware/Hyper-V, scripting, security, and infrastructure upgrades.

The role requires 3+ years of Linux experience, familiarity with SUSE/Ubuntu/Red Hat, AD/Samba/NFS, and Windows Server, with a salary around $120k and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, PTO, and a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of Linux administration experience.
• Strong experience with SUSE, Ubuntu, or Red Hat Linux.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
• Samba/Active Directory, NFS, volume management, and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and Ubuntu Server.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and traffic to identify and resolve issues.
• Administer VMware or Hyper-V virtual environments.
• Support AD/Samba/SMB interoperability, NFS, and volume management.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts for administration and automation.
• Perform Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Implement security best practices and address vulnerabilities with security teams.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues and assist with upgrades.
