Job summary

ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions in Irvine, CA seeks a Systems Engineer to lead infrastructure initiatives across Linux, HPC, networking and storage environments. You will design, build and maintain large-scale compute, network and storage fabric while guiding projects from concept through delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration experience with enterprise distributions.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its technology team in Irvine, CA. Technology is a critical component of the firm's success, influencing every aspect of its operations. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong background in Linux administration, high-performance computing environments, networking, and enterprise storage solutions.

The Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership on infrastructure initiatives, helping design, build, and maintain large-scale compute, network, and storage environments. The ideal candidate can synthesize complex requirements, make informed technical tradeoffs, and drive projects from concept through completion.

Required Skills:

• Strong Linux administration experience, including Red Hat, CentOS, and related enterprise Linux distributions
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining high-performance compute (HPC) clusters
• Hands-on scripting experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with large-scale storage technologies such as:
• WEKA
• Lustre
• VAST Data
• Experience with on-premises compute, networking, and storage infrastructure at scale
• Experience managing colocation (colo) environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive projects to completion
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
