Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the FROST program at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. The role involves managing compute and storage infrastructure, implementing changes via strict change management, and coordinating with cyber, systems, and launch engineers to maintain mission capability.

The ideal candidate holds an Active TS/SCI with Polygraph, DoD 8570 IAT II or higher, and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible, Docker/Kubernetes, VMware, and

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• BS/BA required; 2 years experience with degree, or 6 years without.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification.
• Experience with Linux integration, automation and container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems administration for compute and storage infrastructure.
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams and government personnel.
• Follow change management to minimize security risks and ensure mission capability.
• Participate in daily collaboration meetings and track tasks in Jira/Confluence.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and weekend/off-hours coverage as needed.
• Ensure site inspections and compliance per SOW and regulations.
