Job summary

Raytheon Richardson, TX is seeking a Sr. Linux System Administrator to support a classified program in an onsite role.

You will build, secure, and maintain Linux environments, and collaborate with program developers and systems engineers to ensure mission-critical capabilities run reliably. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, active TS/SCI with CI Poly, DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification, and hands-on Linux (RHEL) and VMware ESXi/vCenter

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date; IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the listed Professional Certifications.
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux based systems with patching, RPM packaging, performance tuning, networking, LDAP, and security hardening.
• Installing, administering, and troubleshooting recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter).

Sr. Linux System Administrators, based in Richardson, TX infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do:

• You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Sr. Linux System Administrator.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Deployment and administration of systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Commercial Cloud Services (C2S)
• Using and developing with automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef as well as scripting – particularly in Bash and Python
• Experience administering Windows based systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
• Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
