Job summary

Optimus Technology, Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support, troubleshoot, and maintain client/server/storage/network devices across Windows and UNIX environments. You will handle Tier 1 help desk tasks, configuration management, and user assistance.

The role includes hardware installation, LDAP/IDM integration, and Proxmox-based VM building. Strong Linux administration with CentOS, Rocky or RHEL experience is required, plus TLS troubleshooting, PXE boot, and Ansible automation

Qualifications

• Experience with CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9 system administration.
• Ability to upgrade servers, workstations and laptops.
• Experience with STE tasks and data transfer processes.
• Hardware installation experience (servers/workstations).
• Linux expertise across distributions and networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Handle escalation to Tier 2 and communicate status to management.
• Monitor and resolve day-to-day operations across client/server/storage/network devices.
• Assist with system capacity planning and performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot IT systems and provide detailed feedback on escalated tickets.
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problem resolution.
• Configure UNIX and Windows OS and manage network components.

(U) Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
