Description

This role supports a DoD program at Fort Belvoir, VA, with on-site presence of 50%, travel of 50%, and no on-call duties.

Metronome is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator/Field Engineer to support operational systems at multiple military locations, both CONUS and OCONUS, primarily traveling up to 50% of the time. The position involves interfacing with users at all levels to facilitate understanding of our product. The remaining time will be spent in a hybrid work environment at our Ft. Belvoir, VA location.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Secret U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. Citizen. Candidates with TS+ clearance considered.
• At least 9 years of Linux Systems Administration experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 7 years with a Master's degree; or 13 years with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience performing software installations and upgrades.
• Experience collaborating with Software or Systems Development teams for troubleshooting.
• Experience using ticketing systems like JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Ability to interface with users at multiple military locations, with flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.

Preferred Skills

• Configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.).
• Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, etc.).
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Higher-level clearance such as TS/SCI with Polygraph is a plus.
