Job summary

TMC Technologies is seeking a Linux Software Developer to join the Cybersecurity CPES team supporting NSWCDD. The role focuses on developing and maintaining Linux-based software for naval systems and combat system domain engineering.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, experience in C/C++, willingness to learn Rust, and familiarity with TCP/UDP networking and Git version control. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Rust programming preferred; C/C++ experience acceptable.
• Network socket programming (TCP/UDP) experience.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Willingness to learn Rust if primarily C/C++ programmer.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Job Description

TMC Technologies is looking for a Linux Software Developer to join our team supporting the mission of the Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The TMC team provides development and maintenance of tactical initiatives and baseline developments in support of Naval Weapons Systems /Combat Systems (e.g. AEGIS, Aegis BMD, FMS, etc). The Computer Program Engineering Services (CPES) provided include support for Weapon System Element and Combat System Domain Engineering, Fleet and Land Based Test Site Support.

This position will be supporting our Cybersecurity group on CPES. A portion of the work performed by the Linux Software Developer would be in the Integrated Warfare Systems Laboratory at NSWCDD.

Job Requirements

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)

Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field

Rust programmerpreferred

C/C++ programming experience in lieu of Rust ok

Willingness to learn Rust if C/C++ programmer

Networksocket programming experience (TCP/UDP/server/client)

Experience using version control systems, preferablyGIT
