Qualifications

• Proven management experience leading a team of systems or platform engineers.

Required Skills

• Proven management experience leading a team of systems or platform engineers
• Strong expertise in Linux, especially RHEL and SUSE operating systems
• Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies like vSphere or similar platforms
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash scripting
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across Linux kernel, storage, networking, and application dependencies

• ITIL certification or experience with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, or SolarWinds

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 7 years of hands‑on Linux, DevOps, or Platform Engineering experience in enterprise settings
• Minimum of 3 years managing a technical team within a fast‑paced operational environment
• Experience operating in cloud platforms and virtualization infrastructures

Other Requirements

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during critical periods or system maintenance
• Ability to occasionally travel to various company sites within the region and out of state as needed
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process improvements
