Job summary

Nova Biomedical seeks a Software Engineer II to develop and maintain Linux-based C++ software for medical device systems. You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and documentation throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities include implementing features, maintaining interfaces with instruments and external systems, and creating unit/integration tests. A background in regulated development is valued and collaboration with QA, hardware, and software teams is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Three years of software development experience, including internships, co-ops, or projects.
• Willingness to learn regulated development practices; medical device software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ in a Linux environment.
• Implement software features based on defined requirements and designs.
• Support interfaces between software, instruments, devices, and external systems.
• Participate in reviews, technical discussions, code reviews, and design activities.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Investigate and resolve defects in application logic, communication, and deployment.
• Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, quality, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain documentation of software implementation and verification per processes.
