Job Title: Linux System Administrator with Netplan

Location: Remote (Flexible with EST / PST / Central Time Zones)

Type : Contract - W2

Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Linux System Administrator to join a customer project on a 6-month remote contract. The role offers flexibility across U.S. time zones (EST, PST, or Central). The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration experience, automation expertise using Ansible, and a basic understanding of GPU and container technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provisioning and Deployment of servers
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, including storage and network services
• Automate server provisioning and infrastructure operations using Ansible
• Perform basic network and storage diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Manage and monitor Nvidia GPUs on servers (basic understanding required)
• Maintain and update infrastructure and server documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams to resolve issues
• Create and manage Ansible playbooks for bare metal systems management
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability and automation processes

Required Skill:

Strong Linux administration experience, including configuring and managing storage and network services.

• Experience with Netplan and Linux networking – including configuring and managing network interfaces and settings on Linux
• Basic knowledge of Nvidia GPU management in server environments
• Experience with Ansible / Scripting tools for automation
• Proficiency with GitHub for code and configuration management
• Exposure to container technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both network and storage issues
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Background:

If you are a System Administrator with solid system knowledge, Netplan expertise, and a background in server provisioning and deployment, along with exposure to GPU and cloud technologies, you will be a great fit and thrive in this role.
