Job summary

VOLTO Consulting is seeking a Linux Admin located in Indianapolis, IN for a 6-month engagement. The ideal candidate will provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in mission-critical environments, troubleshoot various issues, manage cluster environments, and automate tasks using Ansible.

This role requires essential skills in SAP Admin and desirable experience with AWS cloud workloads. Candidates should have strong expertise in Linux and be ready to support on-call rotations.

Role Descriptions: Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Strong clustering knowledge, automation experience using Ansible.

Linux Admin

Responsibilities

• Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in mission-critical environments.
• Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, storage, network, and application-level issues.
• Manage and support Red Hat Cluster environments ensuring high availability and business continuity.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Automate system administration and configuration management tasks using Ansible.
• Implement system hardening, patching, upgrades, and security best practices.
• Work on system performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with application, network, storage, and security teams.
• Support cloud-based Linux workloads in AWS (EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM good to have).
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 production support.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
