Job summary

Conductor is seeking a link validation engineer to support DVT and bringup of the core optical link and PHY. This role requires hands-on bring-up experience with optical links and PHYs, plus deep understanding of both electrical and optical PHY systems and metrics like TDECQ, jitter and BER.

Ideal candidates will contribute to the design process of PHYs, including electro-optic implementations. Nice-to-have items include clock-forwarded optical links and combined copper SERDES and optical PHY

Qualifications

• Hands-on bring-up experience with optical links and PHYs.
• Deep understanding of PHY systems (electrical and optical) and optical link metrics (TDECQ, jitter, BER).
• Contributing to the design process of PHYs and electro-optic PHYs.
• Experience with bring-up and DVT processes of optical links and PHYs.

Responsibilities

• Work on bring-up activities and test vectors for optical devices.

Ideal Background:

Ideal candidates for this role should have:

• Hands-on experience with the bringup and DVT process of optical links and PHYs
• Deep understanding of both PHY systems (both electrical and optical) and optical links (TDECQ, jitter, BER, etc)
• Hands-on experience with contributing to the design process of PHYs and ideally electro-optic PHYs

Nice to Have:

• Experience with clock forwarded optical links
• Experience with both copper SERDES system bringup as well as optical PHY system bringup
• Experience with wide and slow optical architectures
