Job summary

StartupNWA is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to work with the Environmental Management Service in a healthcare setting. The role involves sewing, repairing, and altering linen items, patient clothing, and uniforms using domestic and industrial machines. Duties include marking, patching, quality inspection, salvage of items, and maintaining accurate logs and records.

Position requires U.S. citizenship, adherence to federal onboarding and identification requirements, and a Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required to apply for this job.
• Selective Service Registration required for males born after 1959.

Responsibilities

• Hand stitching and sewing using domestic and industrial machines.
• Operate button, marking, patch, grommet and snap fastener machines.
• Inspect and repair operating room and linen items; salvage items beyond economical repair.
• Maintain counts and salvage records; document removals from service.
• Provide linen and uniform distribution and maintain related logs.
• Notify supervisor of major repair needs.
