Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly Linen Technician at Bon Secours West Hospital to support the housekeeping team. You will process, distribute, and collect linen to keep patient rooms clean and comfortable, while upholding safety and quality standards.

This full-time role requires good English, teamwork, and reliability; prior housekeeping experience is a plus. Expect flexible shifts and the opportunity to contribute to a compassionate hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, laundry).

• Fill and deliver clean linen carts daily to established par levels and record data.
• Collect soiled linen and deliver it to a designated pick-up area.
• Record linen usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure linen quality is satisfactory, and report any quality issues.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
