This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that keeps you on your feet and moving throughout the hospital. You'll walk, prepare, and deliver linen carts, and help ensure hospital staff have the clean linen they need to care for their patients.

You may not provide direct patient care, but the work you do plays an important role in patient comfort, safety, and care.

To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

Job Summary

Responsible for filling and moving linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital. Provides a superior level of linen service in a friendly, professional, and timely manner while meeting established quality and safety standards.

This is an active, hands-on position requiring extensive walking, standing, bending, and pushing and pulling heavy linen carts throughout the shift.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.

Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Work well with a diverse workforce and contribute to a positive team environment.

Follow directions provided by team leads and supervisors.

Maintain a positive, professional attitude.

Fill, organize, and transport linen carts to assigned hospital areas.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with company policies.

Work past the scheduled shift when transportation or facility needs arise.

Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.

Cross-train in other positions based on facility needs.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications

This is a physically demanding job. Candidates must be comfortable with continuous movement and physical activity throughout their shift.

Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day.

Ability to push and pull clean and soiled linen carts weighing up to 800 pounds on wheels.

Sufficient manual dexterity to build and organize linen carts.

Ability to consistently perform physical movements including bending, twisting, and pulling.

Ability to accurately perform simple mathematics.

Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and function as part of a team.

Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
