Job summary

SRI Healthcare, LLC is hiring a Soil Sorter at our Mason, OH Healthcare Laundry facility. You will be responsible for sorting linen, weighing loads, and operating laundry equipment, while following SOPs and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Follow SOPs accurately.
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
• Ability to keep accurate records of laundry poundage by hospital.
• Good mechanical aptitude for operating laundry equipment.
• Able to meet productivity standards and work quickly.

Responsibilities

• Open laundry carts and empty hamper bags onto sorting table.
• Sort linen by fabric type.
• Accurately weigh sorted loads and send linen to washers via negative air system.
• Operate laundry equipment in automatic or manual mode.
• Identify instruments, sharp items, hospital-owned linen and other foreign objects and place them in appropriate receptacles.
• Place empty laundry carts in cart wash and operate washing machinery.
• Process through dishwasher or commercial washer; wash all stainless basins.
• Clean and disinfect soil sort area at end of shift.
• Mentor / train fellow associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
