What You Will Do:

Responsible for distribution of clean linens to all using departments. Responsible for maintaining a sufficient supply of clean linens available to meet Medical Center needs.

  1. Sort and fold linens, check for correct linen on carts, and rearrange as necessary. Deliver carts of clean linen to all linen users.
  2. Unload unused linen from carts from patient areas and place on stationary shelving in Central Linen Room.
  3. Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  4. Clean working equipment.
  5. Count inventories on floors.
  6. Maintain linen shelves in a neat and orderly manner. Keep hallways and landings clear of linen carts.
  7. Obtain proper materials from stockroom for new supplies and from storage rooms for old articles to be mended.
  8. Sort and size scrub bundles for the specified department.
  9. Enter data into linen management software program.
  10. Inform management of department equipment and supplies in a timely manner.
What You Will Need:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and be mobile.
  • Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standards and transmission-based precautions, and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms.

Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
