Job summary

Yora Nordic Spa is opening in November 2026 and seeks a Laundry Attendant to join its founding Housekeeping team in Portland, CT. You will process and distribute towels, robes, and linens, and operate commercial laundry equipment to ensure guest spaces remain clean and welcoming.

The role is full-time and on-site, with a focus on safety, reliability, and consistency. Training covers procedures, chemical handling, and linen-flow management across the spa.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, guest-service or commercial cleaning experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to follow established processes, safety procedures and equipment instructions.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort and process soiled towels, linens, robes and other washable items according to procedures.
• Operate washers, dryers, folding equipment safely and correctly.
• Select wash cycles and temperatures for different textiles.
• Inspect linens for cleanliness and damage; rewash or remove unacceptable items.
• Fold, organize and distribute clean linens throughout the spa.
• Maintain clean, organized laundry areas and record production and safety data.
• Report equipment issues and supply shortages promptly.
• Support teammates during high-volume periods and training sessions.
