Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Linen Technician to manage linen flow across the medical center, including ordering, receiving, delivering, shipping, stocking, and replenishment. You will inventory and reconcile needs, report discrepancies, and coordinate with the Linen Senior Lead to resolve issues.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and endurance for full shift work. Prior linen/inventory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent; ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to be pleasant, professional, courteous, and work in a cooperative manner.
• Ability to move safely heavy supplies and equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for an eight-hour shift, if necessary.
• Able to walk, climb stairs, and sit throughout the shift.
• One year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, deliver, ship, stock, and replenish linen supplied by Materiel Services for use throughout the medical center.
• Inventory and reconcile linen needs in the department and other designated linen supply locations.
• Report linen discrepancies to the team leader and follow up through resolution.
• Linen Technician reports directly to the Linen Senior Lead.
