Responsibilities

• Distribute clean linen to various hospital departments according to a set schedule.

• Fill linen orders based on requests from hospital staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Deliver exchange carts to designated floors as required.
• Ensure all soiled linen is transported promptly to the receiving dock.
• Monitor the status of soiled carts; consolidate as necessary for efficiency.
• Report any operational issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain the linen room in a neat, clean, and organized condition at the end of each shift.
• Build and restock clean linen carts according to standard par levels.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks in the linen room, including sweeping and mopping.
• Open new linen packages for processing as needed.
• Align and stage carts to facilitate easy distribution and collection.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall facility needs.
