Job summary

The Linen Tech at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is responsible for the ordering, stocking, and distribution of clean linen across the campus. This on-site role supports patient areas, physician suites, and the OR with scrubs, requiring attention to par levels and timely restocking.

Evening schedule (11am–9pm) with holiday rotation; onboarding emphasizes I CARE standards and clear, effective communication. Physical tasks include lifting and moving linen and lab coats as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Clear English communication—oral, written and typed; computer/typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Distribute exchange linen carts from the linen company.
• Deliver clean linen to hospital areas without carts.
• Restock Physician Office Suites.
• Restock OR scrubs on 1st and 6th floors.
• Place bulk orders with linen company for next delivery.
• Submit cancellations.
• Consolidate linen and keep area organized.
• Work with leadership to adjust par levels.
• Pick up and distribute lab coats as needed.

Summary

The Linen Tech is responsible for the ordering, stocking and distribution of adequate supplies of clean linen for the hospital.

Essential Functions

• Distribute all exchange linen carts delivered by the linen company.
• Deliver clean linen to any area of the hospital that requires linen and does not receive an exchange cart.
• Restock all Physician Office Suites.
• Restock 1st and 6th floor OR with scrubs.
• Place bulk order with linen company for next delivery.
• Submit cancellations.
• Consolidate linen and keep area organized.
• Work with area and MM leadership to make par level adjustments.
• Pick up and distribute lab coats as necessary.

Qualifications
