Job summary

LOGAN is seeking a dedicated worker at the Nitro, WV depot to build linen carts and prepare them for next-day deliveries. Carts are assembled from bulk linen received nightly and staged for early morning loading, with careful counting and attention to safety.

The role requires lifting and stacking up to 800 lbs, standing for long periods, and precise recordkeeping. A reliable schedule and punctual attendance are essential for successful operations.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand and be on your feet up to 12 hours a day.
• Push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs.
• Must be able to perform simple math for cart counts.
• Ability to speak and read the English language.
• Available to work the schedule needed for next-day builds.

Responsibilities

• Build linen carts to route par levels, one full day ahead of the scheduled delivery date.
• Accurately count and verify linen types and quantities against each route's cart requirements.
• Stage completed carts by route/vehicle ahead of the next day's 4:00 AM load time.
• Load soiled bulk linen into the outbound trailer ahead of that night's shuttle dispatch.
• Keep the depot floor, cart staging areas, and bulk linen storage clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety rules and policies.
• Have excellent attendance and be on time for scheduled shifts.
• Communicate with the Depot Manager on any linen shortages, quality issues, or shuttle delays that could affect next-day builds.
• Assist route drivers with morning loading as needed.
• Accurately complete required paperwork/handheld device entries for cart counts.
