Job summary

This position is in Textile Care Section of Environmental Management Service in a Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area in Albuquerque, NM. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver clean and pick up soiled linen from/to the Amarillo VA Health Care System, perform driving duties, load and unload linens.

WG-6 level requires a Commercial Driver's License and ability to operate heavy vehicles, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, and long shifts up to 10 hours.

Qualifications

• CDL required with valid state license.
• Ability to operate vehicles with GVW 26,000+ and hydraulic lift gates.
• Screen-out: driving/operational responsibilities and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen and pick up soiled linen between facilities (e.g., Amarillo VA Health Care System).
• Perform driving duties and load/unload linens.
• Work in varied weather and loading dock environments, with up to 10-hour shifts.
