Tufts Medicine is seeking a Hospital Linen Support Associate to ensure timely linen delivery and pickup across the hospital campus, supporting patient needs and the patient experience.
You will restock and clean areas, document activities in the department database, and collaborate with peers to maximize workflow efficiency while following safety standards. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required, with ability to lift and push as needed.
This role focuses on activities related to the support services functions, such as dietary and food services, environmental services, general facilities, repair and maintenance, parking, sterilization and transportation to ensure all required support activities are completed in a timely manner and meet the organization's quality standards and expectations. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Environmental Services duties: Researches the environmental effects of activities to develop methods of controlling or minimizing factors contributing to environmental damage and/or improve the effectiveness of restorative activities. A technical role that accomplishes work through a specialized knowledge or skills gained through a combination of vocational education, training, apprenticeship (craft, skilled and semi-skilled), and experience. An experienced level role that requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and requires vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision, problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures and communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
This position ensures timely, efficient linen supply supporting patient needs and the patient experience. Services may include but not limited to delivery and pick-up of General Service supplies throughout the hospital campus. Also requires continuous flexibility and back up functions to assist with responding to variations inpatient volume and continually maximize efficient delivery and use of resources.
