Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Lineman II Telecom to install and repair fiber and telecom lines, ensuring safe, reliable service for customers. You’ll work outdoors, use hand and power tools, climb heights, and support team members.

Requirements include 3+ years Lineman experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain), and authorization to work in the United States. Storm travel may be required; competitive benefits include weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) matching, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it.
• A minimum of three years of Lineman experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair complex fiber/telecom cables and materials, promptly repair any issues to ensure efficient and reliable service.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Maintain safe work areas so that traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it
• A minimum of three years of relevant Lineman experience

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Lineman II Telecom is$24.00 - $30.00.
