Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC. is seeking a Lineman II Telecom to install and maintain fiber and telecom lines, ensuring safe, reliable service for customers. You will work on-site with climbing and tool usage, and be prepared for short-notice storm response.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it.
• Minimum of three years of relevant Lineman experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair complex fiber/telecom cables and materials; promptly repair issues for reliable service.
• Safely use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Maintain safe work areas and ensure traffic flows smoothly on site.
• Climb heights using climbing hooks and ladders; work safely at heights.
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it
• A minimum of three years of relevant Lineman experience

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Lineman II Telecom is$24.00 - $30.00.
