Job summary

Lambert's Cable is seeking a Lineman I Telecom to join our field team in Virginia. You will assist in installing and maintaining fiber and telecom lines, working with equipment such as bucket trucks and boom derricks. The role requires safe handling of tools and adherence to safety standards.

Travel for storm response on short notice is expected. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required, with construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Previous construction experience preferred, telecom industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of fiber and telecom cables overhead and repair issues to ensure reliable service.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators.
• Safely use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Maintain safe work areas to ensure smooth traffic flow.
• Safely work at heights using ladders and climbing hooks.
• Be available to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.
