Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Lineman I Telecom to join a team of experienced Linemen. You will help install and maintain fiber and telecom lines to keep communities connected, while prioritizing safety and high-quality service.

Key duties include overhead cable installation, tool use, site safety, climbing at heights, and readiness to travel for storm response on short notice. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous Construction experience desired, preferably in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fiber and telecom cables overhead, and promptly repair any issues to ensure efficient and reliable service.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Maintain safe work areas so that traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.
