Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Lineman I Telecom to join a team dedicated to installing and maintaining fiber and telecom lines. You will work with experienced Linemen to ensure safe, reliable service and participate in a strong safety culture.

The role requires operating bucket trucks and heavy equipment, using hand and power tools, and traveling for storm response on short notice. Candidates must be 18+, authorized to work in the United States, possess a HS diploma or GED

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Previous construction experience preferred, especially in telecom.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of fiber and telecom cables overhead and perform repairs to ensure reliable service.
• Safely operate equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators.
• Use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws) to complete tasks.
• Maintain safe work areas to ensure smooth traffic flow near job sites.
• Climb heights using ladders and hooks as required, and travel for storm response on short notice.
