What you’ll do as a Lineman I Power

• Assist with installing overhead cables and repair issues to ensure reliable service
• Properly install utility poles and anchors for high-voltage lines
• Operate equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators safely
• Use hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and saws safely
• Maintain safe work zones to ensure smooth traffic flow
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders safely
• Be prepared to travel for storm response on short notice
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid CDL Class A driver’s license or permit (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Previous experience preferred, especially in utility construction, maintenance, or power industries

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces, remote locations, climb stairs, use ladders, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 lbs, operate vehicles and heavy machinery
• Occasionally: keyboard and mouse use
