A leading company is seeking a Lineman Apprentice to assist in constructing and maintaining high voltage electrical equipment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to climb ladders and poles. The position offers competitive pay based on apprenticeship year, with a clear path for advancement.
The Office of Public Utilities, Electric Division, in conjunction with the Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC), will be hiring for the Lineman Apprentice position(s). Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in various tasks to construct and maintain high voltage electrical equipment and apparatus, and responding to electrical emergency situations. Responsibilities also involve assembling and disassembling electrical materials or equipment in high places, below ground level, at ground level, or within confined spaces, often while energized. Candidates must be able to climb ladders, poles, steel structures, and work in and out of ditches and on or off equipment, often near high voltage lines.

Minimum Application Requirements:
All qualified applicants will receive a first interview. Top scorers will be required to attend a mandatory 2-day climbing orientation before proceeding to a second interview. Hiring decisions will be made after the second interview.
