Must live or be willing to relocate to within a one-hour radius of MB Haynes Corporation's main office in Asheville, NC, and must be an experienced 1st Class Lineman. This role involves repairing and replacing transmission and distribution power lines between generating stations, substations, and consumers. It requires using safety equipment and precautionary work methods due to electrical hazards when working on energized conductors and accessories. Responsibilities include de-energizing lines, climbing poles or working from bucket trucks, installing hardware and equipment, and servicing streetlight systems. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 100 lbs.
