Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight between customer and terminal locations. This role includes pre-trip inspections, hooking and hauling trailers, and ensuring DOT paperwork is complete.

Drivers are home daily with weekends off, supporting a healthy work-life balance. The position requires a valid CDL, at least 21, and 1 year of experience, with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI (in the past 3 years).
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years).
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor.
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point.
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances.

SHIFT: Monday-Friday, (Overnight 3 nights per week in sleeper cab)
PAY: $36.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
