Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro seeks a safety-focused Class A CDL driver to transport products from our warehouse to customers across the region. You will maintain accurate logs, complete inspections, and ensure items are delivered on time while following food safety standards.

The role requires long-distance driving, effective communication with customers and management, and adherence to DOT regulations. Overnight shifts and varied schedules are possible, with emphasis on reliable service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• CDL Class A and insurability.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently for communication and record-keeping.
• Experience preferred or completion of driving school.

Role:

Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customer locations via tractor-trailer, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety and food standards.

Key Duties

• Transport and deliver product according to route and customer specifications, loading and unloading as needed.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices, accurately and timely.
• Adhere to food safety protocols, maintaining proper temperatures during delivery.
• Operate all equipment safely, including pallets, load bars, and PPE, and communicate effectively with customers and management about route or delivery issues.
• Develop good customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
• Work flexible schedules and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; tractor-trailer driving experience preferred or completion of a driving school.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices.
• Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, communication, and operating large vehicles and onboard computers.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently for communication and record-keeping.

Physical & Work Environment

• Regularly sit, talk, hear, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or push/pull up to 350 pounds.
• Work involves exposure to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and occasional confined spaces.
• Overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required, with potential exposure to fumes and noise.
